MESSAGE FROM LIBERAL GRAND LODGE OF TURKEY
You will be welcome to the historic city of three empires, three religions, two continents and several cultures! Istanbul, which is a multicolored city in secular and modern Türkiye, will be a focus of Masonic solidarity, a platform for the exchange of ideas on globalization and will provide an effective response to international conflicts with your participation in CLIPSAS.
We must restore the place of the human being in the society and in the world such that we humanists can define the equality of women and men in rights and freedom. This Assembly of Istanbul will be a new opportunity to light the flame of hope; expanding fraternal relationships, knowledge and protection of nature, the value and necessity of peace, the fundamental place of cooperation between countries, the role of constitutions and groups, the richness of solidarity, participative democracy… quite simply a surge of consciousness for Universal Masonry.
The world is suffering from the economic crisis: social injustice.
The world suffers from the pollution of nature: the inadequacy of consciousness.
The world suffers from wars: the inability to empathize.
The world suffers from discrimination: intolerance and dogmatism
We can multiply these examples…
Unlike Freemasons who work for a better, fairer and happier world; do others try to introduce a barbarian world in order to derive material benefit from it? What can be said for ignorance and fanatical beliefs?
On the other hand, the progress of scientific research, humanist philosophy, knowing how to live together in peace and harmony are not the windows which open towards a bright future.
Our agenda in Istanbul is very important; we are counting on your presence and on your contributions.
This year marks the beginning of the second centenary of the Turkish Republic. The republic which was founded on common values and principles with Freemasonry; the values so dear to us. This meeting gives us the strength to live this honor and this joy all together.
The summary of our meeting will be the Chain of Universal Union that we will form hand in hand.
